W.H. Taylor Elementary School Reviews

My son's first year at Kindergarten was absolutely fantastic. He made lots of good friends, learned to read well, and loved all his teachers. Taylor has wonderful Music, P.E., Art, and Enrichment Programs. We feel so lucky to live in the Taylor zone and have the opportunity to attend this school.

great school my child recently went from taylor to the exclusive ruffner young scholors. it is a great school in a bad area. dont be afriad to go ther she loves it there.

This was the first year our children were public schooled. They were homeschooled from the start. My daughter went in with severe dyslexia. A parent had to volunteer to teach The Wilson Reading System, the school didn't offer that option. My son has Bipolar disorder but made an a/b average. Yet, the school failed to protect my son from the constant bullying of the other students because of his high IQ yet low social skills, and my daughter from the constant teasing because of her inability to read well. what hurts most was the constant justifying by the teachers, and the principal, for this kind of behavior, which opposed the schools 'No bullying policy'.

Taylor is a wonderful school. My child was there for 2 years and had 2 great teachers! It has that small neighborhood feel, and the principle is wonderful! The school has a great handle on discipline, but still allow the kids to be kids.

GOod school in the city of norfolk. High test scores. Good parent involvement. Small neighborhood school. A real community feel.

I truly believe that the adminstrative support, outstanding instruction, diversity, and positive atmosphere allowed my daughter to grow and prosper, and helped to create a love for learning that she has carried with her to our new home in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Great job, we miss you!
