They are open to parent participation and are very welcoming to the parents (new and old). Dr. Hollar is a GREAT principal! My child loves this school and soon will have another child attending there. She can't wait to go! All the teachers are extremely nice, and the school makes sure that there is nothing like bullying, or something crazy like school shootings. The teachers are very well educated and a lot of people are very involved. They have lots of sports and a variety of extracuricular with a lot of options. The principal, Dr. Hollar, is amazing. He's really funny but is fair and caring at the same time. The actually building is very clean and up to par, and in great condition. The fact that its also a high school complex makes a smooth move over to the high school, because you've already been slightly exposed to it. It has one of the best music programs and wonderful athletics. There are a wide variety of clubs and groups. The teachers are wonderful. They really care about the young teens that they teach. It is clean, up to date, and modern. The principle, Dr. Hollard is fantastic. The school is full of smart gifted children and any parent would be proud to say that there child attend GMS. I love it. It is fun and has a diverse group of people to interact with. The lunches are tasty but, the lockers could be a little bit bigger.”
