We know how much our pets enrich our lives and we strive to maintain that bond through the best veterinary care. Roanoke Animal Hospital has been a well-established part of our community for over 70 years, is the only AAHA - accredited veterinarian - owned by a hospital in Virginia, and is one of the oldest AA HA accredited veterinarians in the state of Virginia. Since 2015, Newport News Animal Hospital has worked closely with our Newport City Department of Development to take advantage of the city's $1.5 million Animal Care and Treatment Center (ACTC). It has developed and behaved positively for our patients and provides good veterinary care.
Our ambulatory veterinary services are located in Roanoke, Virginia, in the heart of the horse country we serve. Due to the high demand for our services, we were moved from parts of North Carolina, including Horse Kill Animal Hospital in Charlotte, and part of South Carolina to our sister hospital in nearby Chesapeake.

After graduating from veterinary school, I practiced small-scale veterinary medicine for two years at the University of Virginia School of Veterinary Medicine before graduating from DVM in 1985. I started working in small animal medicine at a small animal hospital in Virginia Beach, Va., and practiced it for a few years before graduating and then working as a kennel assistant at a large veterinary clinic in Richmond, VA for three years.
